The sales team from Costa Rica Sun Tours were back at it again this past weekend when they set off for a site inspection trip to Las Catalinas Community and nearby hotels and resorts, along the Northern Pacific Coast in Guanacaste. They have shared some valuable feedback as follows:
Las Catalinas is a community of upscale and very comfortable houses, apartments and flats for rent and are the best new way to accommodate families and group of friends that want to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy a more intimate stay.
Las Catalinas is situated on beautiful Danta Beach where the ocean is perfect for swimming while admiring the beautiful islands, cliffs, and abundant nature. There is a hiking trail over the mountain cliff that leads to Dantita Beach, another small beach which is only accessed by the mountain trail or when the tide is low. There is admittedly a lot of construction around Las Catalinas where new houses and apartments are being built though most houses and units we recommend and book for our clients are closer to the beach and not affected by the construction.
Las Catalinas has units from one-bedroom to 7-bedroom houses with deluxe finishes and most of them offer ocean views or private pools. It also has its own adventure shop where guests can easily arrange for mountain bike rentals, surf boards, boogie boards, tours. Las Catalinas has two restaurants and it’s currently building a 42 room boutique hotel that will also have a restaurant offering international cuisine.
We also had the chance to visit the very special Casa Chameleon Hotel at Las Catalinas, perched up on a cliff next to Las Catalinas Community offering almost 360 degree views of the ocean, nearby beaches, cliffs, islands and lush mountains. With only 21 rooms, it offers private plunge pools and vast ocean views; Casa Chameleon probably has one of the most beautiful swimming pools in Costa Rica, if not the best. Its restaurant offers impeccable cuisine and a bar with some of the best sunset views in the country. This hotel is ideal for honeymooners and couples who want to splurge on staying in one of the best adults-only resorts in the country. The endless vistas of the Pacific Ocean and islands will stay in anyone’s mind forever.
Our site inspection also included visits to the Westin Resort at Conchal Beach, one of the largest All Inclusive Resorts in the country situated on Conchal Beach, one of the rarest white sand beaches in Costa Rica. The Westin offers more than 300 rooms spread on Reserva Conchal where it offers an 18 hole golf course, tennis courts, 11 different restaurants, children’s club, adults only bars, beach club, aquatic and tour center, concierge, etc. The Westin remains as our sales team favorite All Inclusive Resort in the country as the service continues to be outstanding and our clients’ feedback is always positive.
The new W Resort also located at Reserva Conchal Beach and with access to its gorgeous white sand beach, will open its doors on November 15th 2018. It will feature 152 rooms including suites and Jungle Canopy suites closer to the forest. The W resort caters to professionals and urban guests from 35 to 45 years of age who always look forward to a balance of good food, yoga, wellness and who normally like to party into the wee hours. The W Resort will also have a one of a kind 
Spa, amazing swimming pool, several restaurants, a beach club right on the beach with a fantastic swimming pool. The resort will always have a local DJ playing the best modern tunes to keep everyone on a great mood.
