Albatros East Africa specializes in tailor-made safaris for FITs and small groups featuring a variety of properties, often a combination of independently owned camps/lodges with those from property groups like Sanctuary, &Beyond, Elewana, Nomad, and more. They also offer two scheduled group departures that give travelers the chance to take an excellent safari at an incredible value.

These 7 day/6 night (or 13day/12 night for a TZ/KE combo) departures are with a private driver/guide in 4×4 custom-built Albatros Land Cruiser. Departures require a minimum of 2 pax and a maximum of 7, with 26 (Kenya) and 27 (Tanzania) departures throughout the year, including holiday weeks. These small group safaris feature smaller, boutique, 3-4 star camps (vs big lodge circuits) in some of each country’s most famous spots like the Masai Mara and Ngorongoro Crater. They are an incredible value and are actually being offered at lower prices than their 2019 departures!

The Kenya Trails safari makes the most of time in Nairobi with visits to the Giraffe Centre, Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage and the Karen Blixen Museum. Time in Lake Elmenteita and Lake Nakuru National Park lets guests take advantage of viewing incredible bird life (more than 400 species!) as well as big game species such as lion, Cape buffalo and rhino. And no trip to Kenya would be complete without time in the world renowned Masai Mara, famed for its beautiful savanna and incredible game. Boutique properties on this 7-day safari include The Residences at Karen, Sunbird Lodge
and Fig Tree Camp.

Albatros’ Tanzania Trails small group departure visits Tanzania’s most famous areas including Arusha, Tarangire National Park, the Central Serengeti, Karatu, the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park. Guests will experience a traditional Northern Circuit safari and the chance to see incredible big game in Tanzania’s stunning landscapes. From the beautiful baobabs and large seasonal elephant herds in Tarangire NP, and the unique environment of the Ngorongoro Crater to the endless plains of the Serengeti teeming with wildlife, this is the classic Tanzanian safari. Accommodations include Mt Meru Game Lodge, Honeyguide Tarangire, Kati Kati and Acacia Farm Lodge.
