It’s December 21st and no, the world didn’t end! Still, there’s no arguing that 2012 has been an intense year. Both personally and together as an industry, we suffered tragedies and faced challenges. Reflecting on the highs and lows of the last year, now more than ever we travel to feel alive, to connect with fellow global citizens and to make the world feel smaller. We’re blessed to be in an industry that allows us to provide others with that same opportunity. We certainly don’t take that for granted!
This year, the Kusini Collection celebrated its second anniversary and Tad Bradley joined us as the Director of Business Development. In 2013, we look forward to growing our support to the North American travel trade through our in-depth webinar series, broad-reaching exploratory trips designed for you as tour operators and outfitters (read on for more!) and the launch of a comprehensive online agent zone featuring a variety of invaluable resources. And, drum roll please, stay tuned in January for the official launch of our Latin America portfolio, including new partners in Argentina, Peru and Guatemala!
Are you looking to expand or update your destination and product knowledge in Africa or Latin America? Make this your goal for 2013 and join the Kusini Collection on an exploratory trip! We are greatly anticipating pre-INDABA educationals with New Frontiers, a post-INDABA FAM to Uganda and Rwanda with Classic Africa Safaris, the Adventure Travel World Summit and tours in Namibia with Ultimate Safaris, the Cacao Festival and the Battle of the Drums based at The Lodge at Big Falls, an exploratory trip to Argentina with H&T Argentina, and the TIES conference in Kenya with visits to the new Gamewatchers Lake Nakuru Tented Camp. Look for more information on all these travel opportunities just after the New Year.
This holiday, we wish everyone time to relax and celebrate the season with friends and family, enjoy tasty food and drink, reflect on memories from the year and thoughtfully plan for 2013.
Happy Holidays!
