Guests will be blown away by the setting of Villa Rumilahua in Ecuador’s Andes!

What’s happening this week in the Kusini Collection:

Guests can unwind in the whirlpool or Turkish bath at
Villa Rumilahua after a day of exploration

Tropic Ecuador: Tropic Ecuador’s new villas are perfect for families or small groups seeking exclusive luxury. Villa Rumilahua sits below majestic Volcan Cotopaxi and offers six en suite bedrooms, a gourmet kitchen and easy access to explore the park. It pairs perfectly with a visit to Casa Iguana in the Galapagos. Situated on Santa Cruz Island, the 5 bedroom villa has an optional guest house and can accommodate up to 14 guests. Stays at the villas afford total privacy and luxe accommodation. Email Cristina for more information or availability.

Taco George’s is our favorite spot on the Todos Santos
‘Taco Crawl’

Todos Santos Eco Adventures: If you are looking for something new (and tasty) to add to your Baja California Sur itinerary, we suggest you consider the “Taco Crawl in Todos Santos.” It gives guests the chance to fill their bellies, stand by stand, in effort to answer one burning question; “What makes a great taco a great taco?” Todos Santos Eco Adventures took up the challenge and you can read their findings here! Our pick is George’s Fish Tacos where you can fuel up before hitting the surf to play for the day. Fresh as can be and wholly locally sourced!

Seeing the Great Migration with Albatros Travel
never fails to awe

Myriad options are available – from mid-level driving safaris to luxury air hopping itineraries. Their Tanzania Culture and Wildlife safari visits a local school and allows guests to hunt and gather with remote tribes all while staying in great properties. Itz’ana’s ‘Great House’ is home to their sea-to-table restaurant
Limilia, a private Rum Room, rooftop deck and more

Maya Trails: With all of the new direct flights to Belize from North America, there is no excuse not to visit. Southwest has added new seasonal direct flights from Denver in addition to Houston and Ft. Lauderdale, while WestJet has added twice weekly seasonal flights from Toronto. Direct flights from Air Canada are still pending but positive rumors continue on that front. All of this is to say it will be easier than ever for your clients to visit the soon-to-open Itz’ana Belize, sister property to Maya Trails favorite Ka’ana in the Cayo. Luxury and adventure in Belize is about to hit a whole new level!

Visits to Murchison Falls NP provide one of the best
opportunities on the continent to see the rare shoebill

Classic Africa Safaris: Several new airline routes to and around Uganda have been announced. Classic Africa Safaris tells us that Brussels Airlines has increased its direct service from Brussels to Entebbe to five days a week with the addition of a Wednesday flight. This schedule is valid through Sept 10, 2017. Within Uganda, Aerolink is launching direct service from Pakuba Airstrip at Murchison Falls National Park to Kasese and Mweya Airstrips at Queen Elizabeth National Park four times weekly (M/Tu/Th/Sa) from Jun 1 – Oct 31, 2017. These flights make adding Murchison Falls (and shoebills!) to an itinerary much easier and with less driving.

A stunning view of Table Mountain from Cloud Nine’s
rooftop pool

New Frontiers: In New Frontiers’ continuing quest to uncover hidden property gems, they’ve found Cloud Nine Boutique Hotel in Cape Town. Originally five separate historical properties on a block, this new hotel has renovated and connected them via a central reception and courtyard. The immediate area is a hive of small restaurants, bars and coffee shops with bustling Kloof Street just block away. Four delightful restaurants, a coffee shop and art gallery can be found right outside the hotel. Check out Craig’s report on the Agent Zone.
