New Hotel in Monteverde – Senda Monteverde

We’re so thrilled to announce that a new and oh-so-lovely hotel is set to open in Monteverde in December! John Aspinall, Owner and President of Costa Rica Sun Tours, has spent months working tirelessly on this labor of love – completely refurbishing the old ‘El Sapo Dorado’ hotel into a fresh, upscale property now named Senda Monteverde. Senda adds the extra level of comfort and service that travelers seek in the area of Monteverde. With 24 guest rooms and suites this property will be ideal for FIT, groups and for families – there will be two family suites each featuring two bedrooms (a king and a twin, each with their own bathroom) and a pull out couch in the common room! They are also going to create a multi-use room which is ideal for your guests who would like to include special presentations or talks. John tells us they are especially excited about the culinary expert they have hired who is designing menus and training chefs and kitchen staff – you can look forward to lots of fresh farm-to-table meals. Perhaps what we’re most excited about is that Senda adjoins the Aguti Private Nature Reserve which can be accessed directly on foot!
