Since the implementation of South Africa’s new immigration requirements for children there has been a large amount of confusion as to exactly what is needed for people traveling with children into South Africa.

The document linked below covers each eventuality in detail, with notes at the end to clarify abbreviations and aspects such as certified copies.

A really clever and well-designed web app, the Child Visa Checklist, has also been developed which runs through a series of steps and tells you exactly what is needed in terms of travel documents.

The app can be accessed here: http://www.drivesouthafrica.co.za/child-visa-checklist/

It is imperative to note that New Frontiers Tours cannot be held liable for denial of boarding or refusal of entry into South Africa based on information supplied. If required, we are happy to assist with questions, but the answers supplied are not binding and the documents above should be used as the reference point for all client queries and indeed sent on directly to clients. If there is any further uncertainty, then the local embassy/consulate should be able to provide a definitive answer.
