Once again, Bryan Jauregui – co-owner of Todos Santos Eco Adventures, Los Colibris and Camp Cecil – is enlightening us with tales of life in and around Baja. This time she’ll take you on a ride to Los Islotes, an island off Isla Espiritu Santo in the Sea of Cortez, and home to an incredibly entertaining, welcoming, and successful colony of sea lions. Bryan delves into a discussion about the sea lions with Claudia Hernandez, a professor of biology at CICIMAR in La Paz, who has been studying the sea lions of Los Islotes and the Sea of Cortez since 1990. You can read the full article here and, as an added bonus, your guests may well meet Claudia and her student researchers at the dinner table from time to time as Bryan and her husband Sergio provide them boat transportation and put them up at camp throughout the season, as a way to help fund their research.
