South Africa’s tough/onerous (and ill-advised?) new immigration requirements for children are scheduled to take effect on June 1st after implementation was twice delayed in 2014.

We’ve posted all the details on the requirements  in a previous blog entry here:
Revised South African immigration requirements for children

Here is a link to the official Department of Home Affairs brochure with additional details: http://www.dha.gov.za/files/Brochures/Immigrationleaflet.pdf. In addition, we have now received the Standard Operating Procedures from Home Affairs in South Africa regarding the Immigration laws. The document at the below link covers each eventuality in detail, with notes at the end to clarify abbreviations and aspects such as certified copies. http://www.newfrontierstours.com/downloads/SAImmigration.pdf

It is imperative to note that New Frontiers Tours cannot be held liable for denial of boarding or refusal of entry into South Africa based on information supplied. If required, we are happy to assist with questions, but the answers supplied are not binding and the document attached should be used as the reference point for all client queries and indeed sent on directly to clients. If there is any further uncertainty, then the local consulate should be able to provide a definitive answer.
