Albatros Travel has shared some new and fun products that are available in Tanzania.

1. Bush Rover: a unique and funky place to lay your head in spectacular isolation. Built from working Land Rover 110 defenders, the Bush Rovers are set up away from the crowds. It is a unique adaptation of the iconic safari vehicle with the luxury of a full sized bed with crisp white sheets, hand built furniture, a hot bath and flushing loo all in a customized Land Rover.

2. Siringit Serengeti: Opening in July! This new semi-permanent camp will be located in central Serengeti and will be run by the same group that runs Intimate Places. At about USD450 per person on full board basis, Albatros is confident that it will be an incredible value.

3. Axel Janssen Mobile Kitchen: For a very special culinary experience in the bush, look no further! Axel Janssen perfected his culinary art in Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe. Taking cues from local influences, he has created his own epicurean style: a fusion of exquisite European and African delights based on seasonal specialties. Axel has designed a trailer to be towed through all types of terrain and comes fully equipped to cater for up to 14 guests. A set up fee of USD530 covers areas close to Arusha (Arusha National Park, Manyara or Tarangire) and menu choices start at USD30 pp. It’s a unique and very special dining experience!

4. Yoga in the Bush: Albatros have just had a group of yogis on safari, and reports are that they had an incredible experience. Practicing yoga in a pristine part of the African bush is really quite a special experience. So much so that the guides started joining in! OHM…

5. The Manyara Tree Top Walkway: This walkway takes guests on a sky-high adventure through the beautiful forest of Lake Manyara. Travelers walk among the treetops and experience untouched nature and wildlife from a unique perspective. The 370m airwalk travels over a series of suspension bridges with thick
netting on the sides that reach a height of 18m off the ground. Each of the bridges ends on a viewing deck situated around a tree trunk. These treetop platforms are perfect places to stop and enjoy life in the canopy among butterflies, monkeys and birds.

During the walk, tour guides point out interesting facts about the Lake Manyara flora and fauna from a unique bird’s-eye view. It is Tanzania’s first Treetop Walkway and one of the longest in Africa. It’s a great outdoor activity for nature lovers and adventure seekers.

6. Kilimatembo School: Albatros has been sponsoring the Kilimatembo school since 2014 and the developments that they have put in have been great. They have redesigned the classrooms, added a computer room, added containers for extra water storage and implemented a new environmental curriculum. Albatros encourages all clients to take time to visit the school as visits contribute to assisting in the further development of the school. There is still much to do with some remaining classrooms that need to be completed as well as an ablution block for 200+ children.
