Yellow Fever Vaccination Enforcement – Uganda/Rwanda

2018-03-22T11:04:39-05:00April 1st, 2016|

Following an outbreak of yellow fever in the Republic of Angola, the governments of Rwanda and Uganda are implementing preventative measures against the importation of cases into their countries. All travelers entering Rwanda or Uganda must provide proof of current yellow fever vaccination. Unvaccinated travelers will have the vaccine administered to them upon entry (at a charge).

Proof of yellow fever vaccine is not a new requirement for either country, however enforcement at all entry points is new, so travelers should be aware and carry their ‘International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis’ with them throughout their travels.
