Northern Coast & Islands

The journey itself is an integral part of the experience, where your 4X4 will cross rivers on rafts and navigate challenging roads. However, the breathtaking views and unique terrain of the Tsingy make every challenge worthwhile. For guests seeking a less adventurous experience, the baobabs are also scattered along the West Coast of Madagascar, beyond the iconic avenue. Similarly, the striking Tsingy landscapes can be explored in other regions like Ankarana or Namoroka, offering easier access.

Southern Discovery

This route will take you through the varied ecosystems and different cultural aspects of Madagascar from the central highlands of Antananarivo, to the rainforests and the dry-lunar landscape of Isalo. This is a great option for travelers on more of a budget who are looking to see as much of Madagascar as possible on a two-week trip. But, be aware as this circuit may include some long road sections.

Meet Haja & Njaka (and the team!)

Haja Rasambainarivo.

Born and raised in Madagascar, Haja earned a degree in Mathematics & Computer Science before pursuing postgraduate studies in Montréal, Québec. He worked for Conservation International, a non-profit organization based in Washington, DC, before co-founding the company with Njaka in 2009. Haja now divides his time between Madagascar and Québec City, Canada, offering valuable proximity to North American partners.

Njaka Ramandimbiarison

Holder of an MBA from the University of Moncton, Canada, Njaka has acquired solid skills in marketing and business management. His life journey took him to Canada and South Africa, where he worked in the body care industry, web marketing, and the extractive industries. Involved in local tourism associations, Njaka also holds various positions within employers’ groups and other economic associations in Madagascar.

Community and Conservation

The people behind your guests’ dream holidays in Madagascar are part of a team. Each year, the ASISTEN team takes a retreat to hike, plant trees, play team games and visit a one-of-a-kind avocado, lemon and coffee plantation where they enjoy a traditional barbecue and cook-out.
